With ‘friends’ like Cornwall’s Tory MPs, we don’t need enemas!

The people of Cornwall have long lamented the lack funding from central government.  As their public services are being eroded or closed down, they continue to face the constant demand of rising council tax bills; rising council tax that doesn’t secure services, but merely attempts to slow their decline.

Cornwall Council’s ineffective demands at securing fair funding from Westminster towards Cornwall’s declining services continues to fall on deaf ears.

When analysing the voting records of our ‘Cornish’ MPs towards the funding of local government, we can see how Cornwall became one of the poorest areas of the UK:

How Cornwall’s Tory MPs Voted On Local Funding:

Steve Double MP: Has consistently voted for reducing central government funding of local  government.

Sarah Newton MP: Almost always voted for reducing central government funding of local government.

Scott Mann MP:  Almost always voted for reducing central government funding of local government.

Derek Thomas MP: Has consistently voted for reducing central government funding of local government.

Sheryll Murray MP: Consistently voted for reducing central government funding of local government.

George Eustice MP: Consistently voted for reducing central government funding of local government.
